Final Evaluation (LO4: Analyze the creative enterprise process, identifying areas of success and those for future improvement.)

With my problem solving, there is a range of problems I had to deal with and how to overcome them. My first problem was the pandemic, this is one of the biggest issues for me, during the production and the creation of my enterprise for many reasons, this is due to not having the third party in their place of production to help me mock up and design professional looking products, this meant I had to resort to other means in order to get designs done, that aren’t to the best of my ability and what I want my products to look like in the future. Furthermore another problem is technical issues/cyber attack; this was due to the college software and services often being unreliable, or not have access to them when on a previous course we did to get over this what i had to do was find an alternative software that i could use and then use it on my devices at home, rather than the high-spec PCs at college. Another problem is self motivation; due to this lack of posting on social media (mostly on Instagram) is the fact I am not getting as much feedback; the only people I get feedback from is my mates. I focus more on creating my enterprise website and posting ideas and a range of projects/works (stories, characters/species, worlds etc.). One of the best things to do to overcome this issue is to try and contact a range of people that work in the same industry as me and try and get feedback and advice about my work and my website in general. Another thing is keep on getting my work out there so people will notice.. And lastly distractions and health (including COVID-19); not only health affected my enterprise it affected me overall. I have an underlying health condition and my family and I struggled with this virus. How I overcame this issue is I had to borrow a chrome book to do work since I have a really big family and we have one home laptop (my siblings use it for online classes and accessing work.

The feedback I had received on my presentation is try and focus on the problems I could face on my enterprise and how I would overcome them e.g. Plagiarism and copyright and censorship. My biggest success on this course my enterprise website and pitch presentation because they said I have an excellent portfolio and good knowledge on what industries I'm planning on being apart of and also my information on the competitors. I have been recording all work I have done for unit 3- I have many and a variety of different ways of recording all my work for unit 3: First, making sure that they are implemented into my presentation, here I can show what I would normally offer, what special editions I may choose to do and what could be done in the future, not only does this give me a chance to showcase all of my work but allows me to show awareness of current trends, how they chance and adapt and what things may potentially become trends and popular in the future What went well with collecting research is I explained every bit of detail of how my research will help me guide through my project and on my presentation my mood board included a range of images that match my art style well. However, what I need to improve on is I need to talk more about referencing quotes, and also about presentations by making sure I am not  using too much text on each slide.

In the future, I’m planning on becoming a concept artist, a creator and a writer, by creating my own freelance art business. For my Unit 3, I created a business presentation and a business plan for my ideal business. I have learnt a variety of things and skills whilst being on this corner, the first one being all the different types of business structures I can set up as, how they would benefit me and the possibility to change in the future if I was to go in that direction.  This knowledge will help me in the future in a lot of different ways, firstly I now know all the options and pathways I can take if I choose to go down that route, secondly I learnt a variety of different ways to market and present myself, whether that would be on my own website, where people can purchase products straight through me or different methods through other third party websites and distributors, and also its is a personal website for my projects, about me, portfolio, characters and more. What I intend to do with this enterprise is a variety of different things, first of all I intend to keep this running as a small way of getting income whilst I’m at an open university; secondly, this should showcase to further employees that I have the knowledge and skills needed to apply for certain jobs that may require me to have a certain amount of years worth of experience.
